Sean Holley is a renowned professional rugby coach most notable for his work at Welsh Region the Ospreys – where he spent 9 seasons  – the Wales National and age grade teams, and Bristol Rugby where he helped gain promotion to the English Premiership as Head Coach from 2013-2016.

Sean is also the well-known TV Rugby Analyst for BBC Wales Scrum V in studio and outside broadcasts. Sean provides commentary and match analysis In-game and pre/post match. He also works for BT Sport, Sky Sports, RTE and S4C. Sean hosts the Sony Award winning ‘Rugby Nation’ weekly show on Nation Radio and also regularly writes technical coaching articles for several publications such as Rugby World, Emerald Rugby and Rugby Coaching Weekly.

Sean coached Ospreys Rugby for over 250 games finishing as Head Coach in 2012. He has worked with British Lions, Grand Slam winners, All Blacks and Springboks including the likes of Shane Williams, Gavin Henson, Adam Jones, Ryan Jones, Tommy Bowe, Justin Marshall, Jerry Collins, Scott Gibbs and Mike Phillips and many more. He has also worked as a Coach for the Welsh Rugby Union at all levels including the National Team in 2009. Sean has held several other high profile positions in the World of Rugby. He was the longest serving and most successful Welsh Regional Coach helping the Ospreys to win 5 titles and 3 Heineken Cup Quarter Finals. In 2013 Sean was appointed Head Coach for Bristol Rugby where he remained for 3 seasons finishing top of the English Championship in each season, culminating in promotion to the Premiership in 2016. During his time, Bristol scored a record number of tries and points.

Sean has a great deal of experience in education, teaching, lecturing and developing a range of further and higher education courses including HND Sports Science. He wrote and developed the first ever ‘Rugby Studies’ Course through BTEC and established the fore-runner to the now Scarlets Rugby Academy at Coleg Sir Gar,

Sean was the first Director of Rugby and the now prestigious Hartpury College where he was also Head Coach of the Gloucester RFC Academy.

Sean is an accomplished event host & MC, after dinner and keynote speaker. His ability to Host large events and auctioneer has seen him become one of the most sort after Master of Ceremonies. Sean’s vast sport , media and business experience has left him with many ‘never before heard’ stories and memories that fascinate his audiences. His effervescent personality also makes him an ideal host for high profile events, and has even been know to get his guitar out !

Sean is also much sought after by Businesses and Governing Bodies to speak about a range of topics including:-‘Developing High Performance Teams’; ‘Winning Teams’; ‘Cultural Change’ and ‘The Modern Professional Coaching Environment’ amongst others.

Sean is a keen family man and enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities but in particular walking, fishing, mountain biking and personal fitness. He also works as an Ambassador for Venatour Travel, Velindre Cancer Centre and Rugby For Heroes where he helps to raise money to assist servicemen and women in their transition back to civilian life. He recently trekked across Patagonia as an Ambassador for the Velindre Cancer Centre and is planning to do a similar trek to Macchu Picchu in Peru in September 2017.
