From 2021, MUUK-Adventures location, will be moving to a new purposely built unit in St David’s. Which is Britain’s smallest City, with a very modest population of around 2,000, however this swells 5 times during the peak seasons and gives the City and local area a vibrant feel.
Our new home permanent home in St Davids, will host our newly built climbing and bouldering wall, booking office, kit hire facility and training centre. It will also be a great addition to our seasonal base for Coasteering and Kayaking at the Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy.
Taking Covid-19 out of the equation (if you can) Pembrokeshire has much to offer
This new unit has come about because, There was a time when the peak season would be the months of July and August and although these are still the most popular. The introduction of all year round activities and attractions, has seen the area’s leisure industry season spread across the whole calendar year and far more than just the summer months.
St Davids and surrounding villages are blessed with quality and award winning restaurants, busy pubs full of local characters only too willing to engage the visitor in conversation and share their stories with them. You will also find some small privately owned art galleries, craft and adventure sport shops all selling unique products. All of which makes Pembrokeshire a special place.
St David’s is also an ideal location for exploring the rest of the county as it lies in the Centre of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park – the UK’s only coastal national park. This stretches 186 miles from St Dogmaels in the North to Amroth in the South and has approximately 32,000ft of ascents and descents of high cliffs and rugged coast line. It really is a walkers, hikers, trail runners and photographer’s paradise. The path is visually stunning, full of wildlife, steeped in history and modern culture, with it’s remoteness only broken by the quaintest of hamlets and fishing villages you’ll come across. Such is the beauty of the scenery it has featured in many TV programmes such as Dr Who and even Hollywood blockbuster films like Russell Crowe’s Robin Hood, The Huntsman and The Harry Potter series. The area also can boast to be the home of International sporting events such as the Redbull World Series Cliff Diving, held at the Blue Lagoon, Abereiddy, where we hold our coasteering and kayaking sessions. With South Pembrokeshire and Tenby renowned for hosting Ironman Wales.
All of which makes St Davids, Pembrkoeshire ideal for MUUK-Adventures location
