The Blue Monster – Abereiddy, Approximately 2 miles
Based in and around Abereiddy Bay and the Blue Lagoon, The Blue Monster Swim is a classic. The area is steeped in beauty and is a mecca for adventure sports. The Blue Lagoon was the UK leg of the RedBull World Cliff diving championships and the host of many other adventure sports. Making it a real iconic Welsh coastal site.

What to Expect
The Blue Monster swim is approximately 2 miles, The conditions on the day will dictate the actual route. We will endeavor to either start or finish in the Lagoon and to meander our way around the bay. The swim will have your open water navigation tested to the full. There may even be a surf entrance, finish or Aussie exit within the route so be warned.
This will be a challenging yet rewarding swim.
Warning
The Blue Monster Swim, Abereiddy. Should only be attempted by experienced open water sea swimmers. Do not let this swim be your first sea swim. It is a great challenge and will test you but please make sure you are up for the test.
Skin Swimmers
The event is open to skin swimmers. But we ask that skin swimmers have experience at swimming similar distances, in UK waters within the past 12 months and have trained for this event as a skin swimmer. If there are enough skin swimmers awards will be issued.
