Rugby / Activity Camp

Its hard to juggle work commitments and keep the kids happy and occupied over the summer holidays so why not ease the pressure and book them onto our Rugby and Activity Camp. These camps will give your child a fun filled two days, brilliant experience and the opportunity to mix with and make new friends.

The camps will be run by specialist WRU rugby coaches and Activity Instructors.

The days will be mixed up with a morning of Rugby camp with coaching and skill development appropriate to the child’s age group with the emphasis on learning through fun.

Whilst the afternoon activity camp will consist of an outward bound activity to promote team bonding, create a memorable experience and build some confidence all whilst having fun.

The activity will be taken from the following. The actual activity will depend on the weather and what is most suitable for the group and conditions

Surfing
Rib Ride with water experience
Mud Run experience

The camp is open to the following ages with the following options

One Day attendance (6 to 14years) £30
Two Day attendance (6 to 14years) £55
Half Day Morning session Rugby (6-14yrs) £20

The morning sessions will be run from The St Davids Sports Centre and the afternoon activity will be at an appropriate nearby location.

The Day Camps

Start – 0900hrs

Finish – 1700hrs

The Itinerary

0900hrs – Registration

At St Davids Sports Centre

0930hrs – Rugby Session

The day starts with the coaching camp, which will be spilt up into 3 x 45 minute sessions each broken up by a refreshment break. The sessions will be a mixture of skills, SAQ, and Contact (if age appropriate). The sessions will be suitable for all abilities and will look to challenge the kids to improve in a fun environment.

The Kids will be separated into appropriate age and number groups

1200hrs – Lunch

Kids will have to bring their own pack lunch and drink although we will provide water

1300hrs – Outward Bound Activity.

The kids will have a 4 hour fun filled adrenaline full activity session comprising of either surfing, White Water rib ride or Mud Run. The chosen activity will be appropriate for the child’s age. The sessions will be a real memorable experience for the kids to enjoy with their friends. These activities will be carried out off site and as such the kids will be transported to the location by appropriate transport means.

1700hrs – Pick up from St Davids Bunk Barns

The second day’s itinerary will take the same format as the first day but the training and outward bound activities will be different.
