Coasteering @ Muuk
Need to Know
Coasteering @ Muuk these are the things that you need to know. We primarily operate from two sites. 1) Abereiddy Blue Lagoon, 2) St Davids (St Nons)
Coasteering @ Muuk (Abereiddy)
- We meet at Abereiddy Beach Car Park, SA626DT.
- There are public toilets at Abereiddy, but no showers or designated changing rooms.
- We povide wetsuit and all safety kit.
- Please bring with you – Trainers to wear in the water. These need to have a good sole and laces (Beach shoes are not suitable, As they are likely to get washed off in the swell or will not be robust enough to walk on the jagged rocks and or slate. If you have a sturdy pair with laces or zip up wetsuit boots with a good sole that you are confident that they can do the job, this is ok.) (We do have a bucket of spares, but these are well worn and sizes are limited)
- Please bring with you – Shorts to wear over your wetsuit, These are to protect the rubber on the rear of the wetsuit from catching and ripping on the rocks. (If you have not got any shorts, we have got spares, but these can be limited in size and style)
- We change in the car park, so it is best to come with your swim wear, to wear under the wetsuit already on.
- We can look after bags and car keys.
- Coasteering involves scrambling along the low level sea cliffs. Therefore rings can not be worn on session. These can be a snag hazard. Please remove them before the session, If you can not remove them, please tell us and we can tape them up.
- It is not advisable to take any vaulables on the session with you and no phones. If you have a go pro, you can bring it, but please be mindful that people have lost them.
- There is a car parking charge at Abereiddy. This is £5 for the day. They take card or cash. During the busy periods you may have to park in the overflow (400m / 5 min walk) from the beach car park so please allow for this.
- Please allow for 3 hrs on site.
- Spectators can watch the first bit of the session and the last bit. The last bit is in the Blue Lagoon on the tower jumps. The coasteer is much more than the Lagoon, but the jumps are the finale.
