The Little Haven Swim 2024

We are delighted to be asked back to Little Haven to run the Open Water Swim, which kicks off their regatta.

Location – Little Haven

Date – Sunday 6th August 2023

Time – 0900hrs

Distance – 1 mile

Cost – £18 – BOOK HERE

Extras – Event Swim Hat, Timed and published (apologies for last years fiasco contingencies will be in place this year), Water/Banana, Marked Course, Safety Cover

Awards – 1st Male/Female, 1st Male/Female Over 50. Wetsuit

The Swim

The swim will be a Beach/Slipway Start. It will be a high tide. You will swim out into St Brides Bay and around a buoy, swim pretty much parallel with the sea cliffs to the next buoy, round that and come back into the harbour.

As with any good sea swim, it will take you out into deep water and sighting is always an issue, especially coming back towards the harbour, So it is a challenge and a good test of your skills.

The conditions – It is impossible for us to say what the weather and conditions will be on Sunday 6th August. We will endeavour to get you in the water, even if it means altering things to combat the weather.

If we decide that the safety crew can’t keep you safe, we will postpone the event. If this occurs refunds or deferals will be offered.

But please bemindful that you may have to swim in choppy conditions

Profits from the event go towards the Little Haven Regatta.
