This course is designed for those who work in the adventure outdoor industry, work in remote locations or who spend their pass time there. Whether that be as a solo traveller, with friends or as a volunteer leader. This course will give you the confidence and skills to deal with incidents when you have limited resources and suppport.
The learning will mainly be practical based, including a number of scenario’s.
Corporate / Group Bookings
We can accommodate your orgainisation at our centre in St Davids or at a venue of your choice. Typically the days will last from 9 am to 4.30pm. The sessions will be prodiminately practical scenarios away from the classroom environment. For private groups we will tailor it to your orgainisations needs.
Individual Bookings
Our St Davids office will be the venue for training courses open to individual bookings. If no dates are showing please contact us to discuss your needs and the next date.
Course covers
Assessment and certification
Trainees are continously assessed throughout the course, by Q&A, observing, problem solving abilities and a verbal knowledge check. Upon successful completion of the course. A certificate valid for 3 years will be issued. Which is authorised by Ofqual and recognised by HSE and AALA.
Continous Professional Development
First Aid practioners should attend a half-day update every 12 months. This can be internal CPD or at a training centre.
