Kayaking Adventure Day

The Kayaking Adventure Day is ideal for all those over 14 years. The paddling is at a leisurely pace, but be mindful that you will be on session for about 6 hrs, so a good
level of stamina is required and good core strength that allows you to sit in the kayaking position for the day.

Kayaking Adventure Day – Need to Know

• Online bookings taken between March and November.
• Cost £80 per person
• The day starts at 09:30hrs.
• Allow for 6 hours with us.
• We meet at MUUK-Adventures Officers, St Davids, SA62 6FH.
• We will go to the most appropriate location for the group and conditions.
• All kit is provided but please bring your own footwear for the session.
• Recommended age is 14 years (If your children are younger please contact us to discuss).
• The kayaks are sit on tops and are suitable for a maximum weight of 120KG

Kayaking Adventure Day

The Adventure day starts by meeting at our St Davids HQ at 0930 hrs, From here we will be briefed on the journey ahead and get kitted up. Our exact route will depend on the sea conditions and wind. It will be anywhere from Little Haven to Newport, Pembrokeshire.

Once on the water we will exploring the many coves and caves that the Pembrokeshire coast has to offer. Whilst searching for some of the sea and marine life that inhabit the area. Along the trip we will also stop at an isolate cove or beach for lunch. During the day you will also have the option snorkle or fish.

Our recommendation – This trip is great value and offers a lot for a full day session. ideally you would of had some kayaking experience to ensure you are comfortable with being in a kayak for an extended period.

What to Expect

Wherever we are on this section of the coast line will see us paddle along the high sea cliffs of the Pembrokeshire Coast line, whilst exploring the many caves, coves and harbours. We will stop for lunch along the way and even have the chance of a snorkel or some fishing if you like and conditions allow. We will endevour to use the closes location to us, about 10 mins. However we may have to travel up to 45mins to a launching spot. Once on the water we will not be governed by the watch but by how you are feeling. Normally about 4 hours paddling.

We can either transport you to the launching point or you can transport yourself, if it’s easier to leave us from the launching/exit point.

Lunch Options

If you take the lunch option, we will contact you for dietary requirements. However you are more than welcome to bring your own and we will provide dry bags for you to carry it in. The lunch we provide will be Baguette, Fruit, crisps, chocolate and drink.

Large Groups

The Kayaking Adventure Day is designed for small groups to book online. However if you are a larger group of 6 or more and want a private session. Please contact us on the following.

Weather Conditions

Our kayak sessions are held on the Sea and are run under strict weather guidelines which are there for safety but also enjoyment. In the lead up to sessions we are monitoring the weather. If it is obvious that the conditions are not going to be appropriate we will contact you as early as possible (The day before). When the conditions are changeable we will also contact you the day before to discuss options.

If we have to postpone a session we will give you the option of changing dates, or to a different activity such as Surfing or Coasteering. Or a refund for the kayak session.
