The Destination

The Atlas Mountains in Morocco are a magical place. They are home to Mount Toubkal (North Africa’s highest Peak), Many valley’s and hundreds of miles of unspoilt and barely traveled paths.

For our adventures we base ourselves in the Imlil Valley in the High Atlas Mountains, amongst the Berber people. A region that lays 1700m above sea level, where you can cycle amongst the snow capped mountains in the morning and then on 22 degree olive farm trails in the afternoon. We stay in traditional Berber accommodation and are well fed on local cuisine, which can cater for all dietary requirements.

Our groups are supported by professional and registered local guides who have been born and bred in the Atlas Mountains and are able to take you to villages untouched by time. Our Moroccan trips are real adventures in breathtaking scenery But the one common thing that all our guests take away as the highlight of the trip. Is the overwhelming cultural experience and the welcome they recieve from the Berber people it is quite humbling.

Once in Morocco you will be well looked after and well fed. There will be no hidden costs. The only thing you may want to spend your money on is tips for our local guides. They will look after you so well you will feel the need, but this is a very modest amount and done at the end of the trip (if you wish)

Mountain Biking Morocco – Break Down

The Trip

Mountain Biking Morocco is such a treat, there are single track mountain passes for the advanced, off road tracks that offer everything from climbs to exciting downhills to awesome views and technical sections. There are forest trails with some great routes and challenges that will get the best out of you.

The region really has got something for everyone and all abilities. However this trip is far more than just a Mountain Biking adventure holiday. You will travel through unspoilt countryside, meet villagers who still work the land with methods from yesteryear and learn about the local culture and way of life. All of this will be achieved as we make some well earned pit stops at these remote Mountain Villages.

Making memories that will stay with you forever, and gaining insight that will make you think very differently.

FAQ

Personal Expenses – These are minimal, you may wish to purchase some souvenirs or shop in Marrakech, but on the cycling days, there are no hidden costs.

Flights – We tend to fly from the London based airports, as they have the best value and most regular flights. We try to coordinate the bookings so we all go on the same plane, but this is optional and you are free to travel from anywhere. As long as you land in Marrakech on the same date as the tour commences.

Bikes – We have included the hire of bikes in the package. The bikes we hire are of good quality and at good rate. Hiring is probably easier and cheaper than transporting your own. If you do want to bring your own, please contact us and we can amend the price. (E-MTB are available and such a good option!)
