Kayaking at Muuk Adventures

Kayaking at Muuk Adventures, we offer 2 sessions,

1. Half Day Kayaking at Abereiddy Bay (Blue Lagoon)

This session is great for all abilities and really is a hit with all those that do it. The following are the Need to knows

• Meeting Location – Abereiddy Beach Car Park – SA626DT
• Car Park is a one off fee of £5
• Start times 0900hrs or 1330hrs (These are the Meeting times)
• Duration of Trip – Please allow for 3 hours onsite. The water time is approximately 2 hours.
• What you need to bring – Footwear to wear on session. (No specific type, other than comfortable and ones you don’t mind getting)
• Also Bring a Towel and Sun cream
• All safety kit, such as wetsuits, helmets and Buoyancy aids are provided.
• You can wear your own wetsuit (Shorties are ok in summer months)
• You can wear your own safety kit if you like but we will check that it meets the required standard.
• We recommend that anyone under the age of 12 goes in a double kayak. If the child has previous experience they can use a single kayak, But the instructor will make the final decision.
• You do not need to have had previous paddle experience to come on the trip, but you need to be comfortable sitting upright for the duration of the trip.

Please Note

Kayaking on the sea is subject to the weather. If the wind is too strong, Visibility to poor, thunder/lighting in the air or the swell too large. The session may be subject to one of the following options

• The session is cancelled (Refund given)
• The session is moved to another date / time with your consent or refund given.
• The session is moved to another location where the water may be more protected from the elements (This will be discussed and agreed by group)
• Or you could try Coasteering ???

1. All Day Adventure Kayak

This trip is recommended for those who have paddled before and have a good level of fitness. We meet at our office so we can travel to the best location for the day and group.

• Meeting Location – MUUK Adventures Office, St Davids, SA626FH
• Car Park is free
• Start times 0930hrs (These are the Meeting time)
• Duration of Trip – Please allow for 7 hours onsite. The water time is approximately 4 to 5hrs. (Depends on weather, fatigue and ability)
• What you need to bring – Footwear to wear on session. (No specific type, other than comfortable and ones you don’t mind getting)
• Also Bring a Towel and Sun cream
• Please bring a packed lunch
• All safety kit, such as wetsuits, helmets and Buoyancy aids are provided.
• You can wear your own wetsuit (Shorties are ok in summer months)
• You can wear your own safety kit if you like but we will check that it meets the required standard.
• The Trip is suitable for 16 years and over. (Younger persons can come but please discuss first)
• You need a good level of core fitness to be able to sit in the kayak for the duration of the trip.
• It is best to change at our office and then to travel in your own vehicle to the launching / landing site so you can drive away afterwards. Some locations may be limited on parking so it may be better to drive with us. To be decided.

Booking T&Cs

• The following is our guidelines for postponing or cancelling adventure activities.
• If the weather or other unforeseen factor means that we (MUUK adventures) can not run a session. In the first instance we will look to find a mutual alternative date. A full refund will be issued If no alternative date can be found.
• Cancellations by clients with less than 48 hours notice will receive no refund. If the cancellation is made with over 48hrs notice a full refund minus the booking fee will be issued. This applies to bookings of 4 or less persons.
• Cancellations by clients with less than 72 hours notice will receive no refund. This applies to bookings of 4 or more persons. If the cancellation is made with over 72hrs notice a full refund minus the booking fee will be issued. This applies to bookings of 4 or more persons.
• In the event of group bookings where deposits have been paid, Deposits are none refundable for individual or group cancellation. And deposits can not be used to make up the full payment of another members. If the group cancels with more than 7 days notice, A full refund will be issued (minus deposit paid) If the group cancels with less than 7 days notice, no refund will be issued.
• Please be assured that in the event of any client cancellation, we will look at the circumstances and always try to offer another date.
