The Great White Swim – Whitesands, Approximately 2.4 miles
The date and format for the 2025 Great White will be published before the New Year, so please keep an eye out. Please see the link for the report and results for the 2024 SWIM TO THE EDGE SERIES
The Great White Whitesands Swim is based at one of Pembrokeshires most iconic beaches. St Davids Head and St John’s head, which leads into the natorious Ramsey Sound surround the bay on either side. The Great White Swim will start and finish on the beach. You will do one lap come out of the water around a flag and back into the water for the second lap (Aussie exit).
The beach is a well known surf spot, so be prepared for a surf entrance and exit. The course layout and possible conditions are very similar to Ironman Wales and could be a good training swim. For Those who fancy a something smaller. There is the 1 lap option. This will also be timed and have the same competitor benefits.
This will be a challenging yet rewarding swim
Only experienced sea swimmers should take on the Great White Swim. The conditions might be challenging so do not let these swims be your first sea swim.
Skin Swimmers
The event is open to skin swimmers. But we ask that skin swimmers have experience at swimming similar distances, in UK waters within the past 12 months and have trained for this event as a skin swimmer. If there are enough skin swimmers awards will be issued.
If you are feeling up for a proper challenge, why not take on our Swim to the Edge Series. The series consists of completing MUUK Adventures Big 3 Open Water Swims. For More Details – CLICK HERE
