The Ras Dewi Sant Challenge  2023 Ras Dewi Sant saw near perfect conditions and as a result some amazing times were achieved, With what I believe to be course records across the board. I remember the talk on the day being about “You wont get a better day than that” or “Thats as quick as you’ll get” Well we have always liked a challenge, So for 2024 RDS we are going to offer the following £100 to anyone who beats the course record, And to make it fair we will make it “The Course Record” in their age group and

Happy New Year – Look After Yourself! Christmas is done and the New Year is upon us. So how was 2022 and what will 2023 bring for us all? like so many others that I’ve heard from, I am sat here trying to writing this after being completely wiped out with a bug over the Xmas period. To say “bug” is not really doing it justice, On the sickness scale its more like one up from man flu and that is saying something. During this period, I have also found myself rewriting this blog 4 or 5 times, These attempts

School Challenges One facet of our job that I really enjoy, is working with teenagers on what could be their first journey into the outdoor adventure world, watching them grow as they take on varying challenges the wild throws at them. There really is something about a challenge in the outdoors, which is a real leveler amongst teenagers. In today’s world we are all to use to having things instantly, at the touch of a button and if we do have to wait, we tend to get bored and move on to an easier or quicker path. The great outdoors

Something a Bit Different Adventure Race Pembrokeshire Whilst sitting on the beach all summer long, watching our coasteerers and kayakers do their thing and constantly saying to our visitor friends, “The toilets are over there, yes the white building in the corner, look there, it’s the only building, no it’s not a house it’s the toilets” And then, in the quiet moments, reminiscing about the Whitesands Challenge and the good old days! It got me thinking!! What challenge can we do here at Abereiddy. Well Obviously, the Abereiddy Challenge! Now normally when we do such a thing, I’ll get a

Regaining The Motivation  These are my feelings, but from the messages I have had over the year, it would appear that I am not alone. It seems a few of us have struggled recently with the motivation to train with intensity, consistently or with a purpose. Although 2020 probably gave most of us more time to train and many of us used this time positively to get out and about for daily walks, the motivation and goals to push ourselves hard may not have been there. If I am honest, Covid-19 did not sap my motivation or desire to push

MUUK-Adventures MUUK-Adventures Covid 19 Policy Introduction The long and short of it, Covid-19 caught us all with our pants down. When it struck and for the majority of 2020, We did not know what was happening and what was going to happen. And I think its fair to say that was from World Leaders down to the person on the street. For MUUK-Adventures, like every other small, medium, or large business in the tourism or Events industry it was worrying times and it still is. We had lots of prepaid bookings and lots of expenses already committed and it has

Well what a year!!! It has been 12 months of extreme, extremes. But we’ve had a real Wales Adventure, At times I was busier than ever before, then there were periods of mind-numbing inactivity. During these times, I experienced great highs and then there where days when I struggled to get out of bed and was void of any motivation and ideas. As a company, 2020 was our tenth year and to celebrate we had made lots of plans, with our group and event bookings full, the season was looking good. We had also planned to do our bit for
