Open Water Swimming Adventures
Covid-19 has had a massive effect on peoples ability to keep up their swim training and as a result confidence may be low when it comes to open water swimming adventures. The pandemic has also forced us to either cancel or limit the numbers on our open water swimming events.
As a result of this and to give our customers what they have asked for, we have revamped our Open Water Swimming Packages.
Open Water swimming Adventures.
We have been running commercial swimming adventures around the St Davids Peninsular since 2016
The area is located in the middle of the UK’s only coastal National Park and is surrounded by clear blue water and a coast line that boasts high spectacular cliffs broken by the numerous hidden and isolated coves and beaches all of which is situated between the many picture postcard fishing villages and harbours that make up the communities and way of life for the local residents.
All of this makes the location ideal for an open water swimming adventure and a pure swimming experience that will stay with you for a long time.
Yes open water swimming can be dangerous activity to do by our self or to under take in an area you do not know as currents, tides, fatigue, orientation and weather can all cause serious problems for those who fall foul that is why we are offering guided tours that will allow you to have the ultimate swimming adventure in the safest possible environment.
The locations we use range from Abercastle on the Northern coast to mid Pembrokeshires St Brides Bay and everything in between. We utilise the best area to suit the weather and groups needs.
The 2021 Packages
- The Open Water Swim Adventure
- May to October – Every Sunday Morning at 1000hrs
- Cost £30 –BOOK HERE
- Group Size – 4 Persons (for larger groups please message us)
For 2021, we will aim to swim out of Abereiddy Beach. The area is an iconic spot for sea swimming and has a number of coves and bays that we can explore as well as the famous Blue Lagoon.
We will aim to be in the water for 2hrs and will tailor the distance and technicality to the groups experience and needs. But there will be opportunities to stretch out and swim in deep open water and then to slow down and explore the beauty of the area. We will helpt and support you and give you top tips on open water swimming and sighting but this is an experience to be enjoyed rather than a coaching/fitness session.
You will be accompanied by a kayak guide, which offers reassurance and safety.
If the conditions at Abereiddy are unsuitable, we will look at alternative spots, such as Solva and the numerous bays around St Davids.
2. The Green Monster (Swim to the Edge)
- June to October – (Email us to book)
- Cost £40 (Includes, Green Monster, Swim to the Edge T-Shirt)

This route is the same as our Swim to the Edge event. Due to the restrictions that have been put in place and the rescheduling of events, We have got a back log of people wanting to do this swim. So not to disappoint we are are offering people the chance to swim it in small groups.
And to mark the achievement we have included in the price, the latest Swim to the Edge T-shirt, with the events iconic logo.

Tour Reviews
Brilliant! Fintan put together a package that was absolutely perfect for me and I came away thrilled to have swum in beautiful locations and pushed my boundaries. Without the support and local knowledge it would never have been possible. One of the best experiences I’ve had in ages and I can’t recommend highly enough.
Thanks Fintan for putting together the swims this year! Great events at great venues.
